Privacy Policy
wasabiinu (the developer) explains below how information is handled in Cyclocross: The Game.
Request account and data deletion
1. Collection by the developer
The online-match provisions apply when you use that feature in a version that supports it. Older versions and offline solo play do not require an online account. The app uses no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs or in-app purchases. Locally saved records are distinct from current race information transmitted during a match.
2. Data on your device
Settings, language preference, tutorial completion, best times, positions and riding ghost data are stored on your device. Records can be reset under Data in Settings. Other app data can be removed through OS data-clearing controls, where available, or by deleting the app. Delete copies saved or shared elsewhere separately.
3. Images, video and audio
At your request, the app creates result images and race videos on your device. Turn recording on or off under Data in Settings. Videos contain the game screen and game audio only; the app does not record your camera or microphone. Generated files are stored in the app’s temporary storage. Shared-media export files older than seven days become eligible for deletion when app cleanup runs; the OS may remove them sooner. This cleanup does not delete files you have saved elsewhere.
5. Motion sensors
If you enable gyro controls, motion sensor values are processed on your device for gameplay. Raw sensor data is not retained after the ride or sent externally.
6. Connections, website and contact
The game works offline. Opening external pages or sharing through a selected service may use a network connection. This support website uses GitHub Pages; GitHub’s Privacy Statement also applies to information handled when you visit it. If you email us, the developer uses your email address and message to respond to and handle your enquiry.
7. Children and changes
When online features are used, the processing described below applies regardless of age. Parents may contact us below to ask about or request deletion of their child’s information. We will update this page and its date when features or information handling change.
8. Online matches and service providers
Internet matches use Unity Gaming Services Authentication, Lobby and Relay. Unity processes anonymous player IDs and IP addresses for connection, authentication, matchmaking and race synchronization. An anonymous account is created without registering a real name, email or password; anonymous does not mean that no personal data is processed. Display names are random combinations of fixed words. There are no free-text names, chat, voice or image posts. Your display name, riding state, inputs, progress and results are shared with match participants. Local Wi-Fi matches use device-to-device connections and do not require a Unity online account for that connection. Authentication credentials and notice read status are also stored on the device. The app may receive and display Unity service notices addressed to the account. This information is used to provide matches, not for advertising tracking. Unity services also process approximate region derived from IP addresses, service activity, connection quality, performance and diagnostic information for service operation, analysis and troubleshooting. Not adding a dedicated analytics SDK does not mean that online services perform no operational measurement. The app does not collect precise GPS location.
9. Request account and data deletion
After leaving your room, use ONLINE MATCH → ACCOUNT & PRIVACY → DELETE ONLINE ACCOUNT to delete your anonymous account. On success, the Authentication account, local credentials and notice read status are removed; the app leaves joined lobbies or deletes the lobby you host. Local race records and settings remain and can be cleared separately using the settings data controls or other local deletion methods. Choosing internet play again creates a new anonymous account. Uninstalling alone does not delete the online account. If you cannot use the app, email wasabiinu below to request account/data deletion for Cyclocross: The Game without reinstalling. Include your player ID if available. DELETION HELP can copy the ID and prepare an email; it does not send automatically. We may ask for further information to identify the account, and may be unable to verify it if credentials are lost. Do not send passwords or authentication tokens.
10. Retention and deletion scope
Deleting an Authentication account does not immediately erase all logs in other Unity services. Unity’s published documentation states that Relay personal data is retained for 30 days and Lobby logs containing player IDs for up to 30 days. You may also request deletion of this data via the email below. Where needed, we refer the request to Unity using the player ID and inform you of the confirmed outcome. Legal retention requirements or inability to verify the requester or identify data may limit deletion. Support emails are kept while needed to handle the request. See the Unity links below for details.
